Club Fu Server Status

The server went down because of a hardware problem and because of school I work less hours so I am having a hard time replacing it. I have a friend with a 100mb connection that I am trying to get to host the server on. It would be able to handle alot more players. I will try to keep you guys posted. I should know by this weekend. Until then though I'll be swamped with homework, school and work. Hardly time to sleep.

Another topic... How would you guys like to play Everquest for free on a EQEmu server? Currently my friend with the connection is hosting it. So far he has around 40 active players. The exp is 3x faster then normal EverQuest exp. Lots more quests, a buffing NPC and more. My friend and I are currently coding quest lines that deal with Epic 1-2.5's. Also the server's monsters have a Diablo 2 style drop. Meaning you don't have to raid to get the big gear. Some of the best things in the game can be gotten with single groups or even soloed. We hold lots of GM events and more. The last GM event we gave out some epic 1.5's.

What is Everquest

EverQuest is an online massive multiplayer game that lets you pick a class, level up, get items, group with others to kill monsters, get a raid force together to kill dragons, gods and so on. You can create guilds (clans basically) so you have your own chat with them and schedule epic raids (super weapon of your class). Basically an epic is a weapon with a nice looking effect on it made for the class you are with improved stats over most other items. You have to usually do a long quest to obtain them. Example... for the Warrior epic 1.0 you have to travel to different places and join in on raids to slay a number of dragons, along with doing that there are alot of parts you can either do alone or with a group of other players. Its fun to help others get quested items and weapons. Or you can just go out and explore dungeons and slay monsters to see what items you can get.

Everqyest is a 3d game wherte you have to go to other cities, planar area's you can even visit the moon. Generally it costs about $12.00-15.00 U.S. Dollars per month to play it. Which is why Fridgecritter is hosting his own server. Last night there were 80 players on it all around the world. Some playing alone... and some grouping together.

The server is new so not many players are high level if any yet so its not to late to join and play.

P.S. As far as the UT2004 server coming back up... I don't think it would be possible without a rebuild after I replace the hard drive. Id have to redownload everything and reconfigure it all... If I do decide to though it will be over the weekend when I have time.
